We never have enough time with them. Hope your last two weeks with your sweet boy are as wonderful as they can be.

I’m sorry about your dog. I’ve had to pour several dogs down and last time I swore I would never get another one. But I did😉

I know a lot of people who wait as long as they can and the dog suffers for it. They think they are being kind but are really acting on their own self interest

I am so sorry about Walter. We have had to go through this with our last dog, Heidi. She was a German Shepherd mix and the smartest dog we have ever had. She had a heart murmur from the time she was a puppy and lived for 12 years. When she began to fail, she let us know it was time to go. She was unable to go upstairs to bed and just laid at the bottom of the stairs and we could just see it in her eyes. We took her to the vet the next day and I sat on a blanket on the floor and held her when she passed. Denny was so distraught that he could not stay in the room. We never got another dog. Erin's dogs have filled our void. It will take time for your heart to heal but Walter will be forever in your heart. Thinking of you and Josh. Hugs and much love to you all.

I’m so so sorry Dani. All of it must be so hard, the emotional rollercoaster, knowing what the best decision is, how to show up and go through it while being present. He’s had the best life, full of adventures and is so incredibly loved. You Josh and Walter are in my thoughts over the coming weeks. Enjoy every precious moment as I know you have already. That intention makes all the difference. Everything we do in life is for love, it’s what matters most, you were that for Walter and he was that for you and Josh. I wish you all a loving next couple of weeks and a peaceful grieving, though it’s never easy, he will always be apart of your life 🫶🏼

I'm thinking of you and everyone who loves Walter! Putting a dog down is such a had decision - I still remember crying in class the day my dad had to put down our childhood dog.

We never have enough time, but Walter has lived such a wonderful life thanks to you and your husband!
