I started watching a mocumentary series on Netflix called American Vandal. Itβs so spot on in terms of spoofing popular documentary and podcast styles while simultaneously making many dick jokes. Iβm only three episodes in but am loving it so far.
I just finished a wonderful book called The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhorn. It's historical fiction based on the life of Martha Ballard. Always sad when a great read ends. Also recently watched You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment on Netflix about 2-3 weeks ago and still am unable to eat meat. I was a chicken, ground turkey and fish person, but now just fish. I've seen many documentaries about food/nutrition and how animals are treated in the U.S., but this one just really hit me. Also seeing how different diets, vegan vs. omnivore, affect our bodies was really wild.
That was SUCH a great documentary. Also, was I finding myself googling how old certain artists were? Like whatever Bruce Springsteen is doing to look so handsome at 74 needs to be studied!!
Read: Just finished The Institute by Steven King - very good! Watched: Finished the first season of Couples Therapy with my partner- incredible! Listened: Just finished Stars in Your Eyes by
Kacen Callender - I think I would have enjoyed reading it more, audio was corny, but story was so good! Enjoyed: Taught my son how to make fresh guacamole π
We fell into Couples Therapy last week and LOVE IT! It's all the drama of Love is Blind but with the added benefit of watching a therapist react to the horror π€£
Also having a kid that knows how to make guac feels like a life hack. ππ»

A book about Martha Ballard! That sounds sooooo good β€οΈ Thanks for the rec.
That documentary was really interesting! I wish they did a follow-up with the participants since it was released.
The We Are the World documentary. Just brought back so many memories of childhood and gave me all the feels!
Weβve watched the trailer a couple times now! Looks very good β€οΈ
