My go-to comfort movie is The Wedding Date with Debra Messing! I remember watching it in high school for the first time and I have seen it 1-2x/year since then! More recently, Encanto has become a favorite movie, especially if Iām sick or in need of an afternoon couch nap. I love falling asleep to the music in Encanto!
I blanked on this question initially but omg, 2005 Pride and Prejudice š„¹ itās such a soothing vibe I listen to the soundtrack sometimes when I am working to calm down. (PS, I know it isnāt āaccurateā but you canāt tell that to nostalgia š)
Devil Wears Prada is SO good! I think I need to add that to my comfort movie playlist -- josh will be so happy I have something new in my rotation š
The two I re-watch on repeat are Sliding Doors (1998) and Catch and Release (2006). I consider both in the category of "life be lifeing" but comforting at the same time.
Empire Records. The only movie I own because itās never on streaming. Some Kind of Wonderful. Miss Congeniality. I just watched it again on the plane. š
About Time and Little Women (2019) are tied for number one. I also really love Home Again and The Intern because Nancy Meyers (or Nancy Meyers-adjacent, since it's her daughter who did Home Again) vibes NEVER fail.
Some of mine already mentioned so I will add 'Dan in Real Life' and anything vintagey (i.e. 'Barefoot in the Park,' 'Charade,' 'My Fair Lady'). All 10+.
The Holiday is one of our must-watch Christmas movies!!! Kate + Jack are truly magic together ā¤ļø

Watching that as I type this! Favorite Christmas movie š
All the feels!
Serendipity is my go to comfort movie. Iāve seen it more times than I can count. ā¤ļø
