I just wanted to add a feminist concept covered much more extensively in the brilliant book hunt, gather, parent of moving away from child-centered activities, reducing toys, and integrating children into household chores at a young age. Lots more to unpack but I encourage folx to read the book as a compliment to the concepts discussed here.
