The Ultimate Habit Tracking Spreadsheet ✅
Download your copy of the habit tracker I use every year!
Have you ever tried habit tracking?! I got into it a few years ago and quickly discovered that it was a great way for me to build daily, weekly, and monthly routines.
I started out the old fashioned way — using good ol’ pen and paper. But it quickly evolved, leading me to create my first digital habit tracker back in 2021! Since then, hundreds of you have used it each year — and 2024 was the first year we had a monthly accountability group that met on the first Monday of every month to update our trackers, set goals, and get organized.
Now in it’s fourth edition, my 2025 Habit Tracker is ready for you to download and start using. Plus, I’ll be hosting a live event on Monday, December 2nd to help you get yours set up (see below for event details).
The Habit Tracker is designed for use in Google Sheets, and is formatted to support habit formation throughout a 12-month period. Each month gets its own tab, making it easy to navigate — with a few features that make it *extra* fun to use.
Starting with a “central command station” (aka the “settings” tab) which allows you to type out your habits + their frequencies once. The sheet then auto-populates that information into the monthly habit tracking sheets so they are all set up and ready to go.
As you check your habits off each day, the emojis at the bottom of each column will change. The more habits you complete, the more it changes. This is a simple form of gamification that offers the feedback and reward we seek when developing new habits.
It also features monthly and annual progress tracking with color-coding so you can quickly see your percentage of progress toward your monthly or annual goals for each habit. This feature helps me see the bigger picture and assures me that having a bad day, week, or even month won’t make or break my ability to form new habits.
Ready to see it in action? Press play on the short video below for my tutorial (note: this was made using last year’s version. The differences are subtle and the steps for set-up are the same!):
Here’s a bit more about some of it’s features:
📱 You can use the spreadsheet on desktop or using the Google Sheets Mobile App on your phone/tablet.
🖨 Once you set up the spreadsheet, you can easily print out the monthly sheets if you’d prefer to track manually. Go to file > Print > And make sure Landscape orientation is selected.
💻 If you get on a computer each day, setting The Habit Tracker as one of your designated browser tabs is a great way to “stack” it into your daily routine. Here’s a tutorial for how to do that.
🎉 Join me for our last Monthly Review Day of 2024 for a “Virtual Set Up Party” to download the spreadsheet, get it set up, and learn how to use it throughout 2025 to establish and strengthen new habits. RSVP here.
Paid subscribers can download their free copy of The Habit Tracker below (upgrade for $4/mo), or you can purchase it through my website for $7.99.
