This week I thought it would be a fun and very cozy distraction to invite you into our home for a cup of coffee and a tour!
Moving abroad and to a much smaller space meant downsizing our belongings, and being smart about how the space is used. So, this isn’t your typical “interior design tour” (you’ll quickly discover that I have little talent for interior design). Instead, this is much more about how to live minimally, make your home functional, and fill it with things you truly love and need.
I think consumerism has made so many of us (especially young couples!) feel like you need to instantly fill and decorate your home. I definitely did this with the first home we owned — making numerous trips to Target and Home Goods to get things that filled space but didn’t fill my cup (if you know what I mean). They were mostly meaningless objects that checked a box or filled a shelf.
I wanted this to be different — and we have very slowly built a space that truly feels like home.
In this post you’ll find:
🧡 A bit more about us and why we moved abroad
📷 A detailed, room-by-room tour through our apartment (over 40 photos!)
👌🏻 Tips I’ve learned about living with less in a small space

So please remove your shoes (the floors are WHITE 😬) and step inside our historic, 228 year old building situated on a picturesque cobblestone street in the heart of Copenhagen!
