The best neck stretch ever + what to read, watch, listen to and enjoy...
I remember coming across this neck stretch on Instagram a while back and failing to save the link (drat!). Thankfully Substack fed me this post by
and made it oh-so-easy for me to share with you in this week’s newsletter:If you spend the majority of your day sitting at a desk and craning your neck toward devices, finding simple but impactful stretches and exercises like this can be *life changing*. I found this one pretty incredible. Try it out and report back! Did your head turn further after you tried the stretch?!
📚 READ: I did scream a little bit when I saw Taylor Jenkins Reid has a new book coming out next week!!! The the author of best-sellers like Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones and The Six will explore the early days of the space program in Houston, Texas in her latest novel. I cannot wait! Pre-order Atmosphere via Bookshop.org.
📺 WATCH: The first time I went to New York City (circa 2014) I asked my cousin for recommendations — he’d been living in the big apple for several years and I knew he’d have great ideas. He told us to set aside an evening to take the ferry to Staten Island and eat dinner at a tiny Italian restaurant called Enoteca Maria. We did — and it was the highlight of our trip! If I knew you were visiting NYC over the past decade I probably imparted this piece of wisdom on you, too (hope you went!). How cool is it that Netflix recently released a movie about the restaurant and its founder?! Watch the trailer below:
🎧 LISTEN: This summer I’ll celebrate two years of writing on Substack, and if you are curious to learn more about the platform and its founders you can tune in to this recent episode of How I Built This with Guy Raz. Was a fun listen!
🧡 ENJOY: Despite my current love/hate relationship with most social media platforms, Pinterest is one that has mostly endured the test of time. Browsing my recent pins is a little peek inside my brain and what I’m currently thinking about: a plant-filled home. scruffy dogs. gingham. clogs. vests. lake vacations. natural waves. Go see what I’ve been pinning lately.
