THE WEEKLY PAGE 📝 No. 220
A 5-step release for anxiety + what to read, watch, listen to and enjoy...
I know this has been an incredibly relaxing week, with no big headlines or anxiety-inducing events (😬🙃) so I hope this doesn’t end up being entirely useless but this is one of my favorite ways to decrease anxiety as you end the week.
It’s a 5-step release method developed by British physician Dr. Chatterjee. To do it, grab a piece of paper and write down:
One thing about next week that you're CURRENTLY anxious about.
One PRACTICAL thing you can do to prevent or prepare for it.
One reason it's PROBABLY not going to be as bad as you fear.
One reason you know you can HANDLE it.
One upside of the SITUATION.
That’s it! Take a deep breath and enjoy your weekend.
📚 READ: This is a little departure from the usual type of recommendations you’ll find in my “To Read” section, but this eBook was SUCH a great purchase that I needed to tell you about it 🤩 Hot Pics 4 Hot Girls: The Ultimate Guide to Confident, Radiant, and Authentic Photos is a goldmine of tips + advice for not just the tech side of taking great photos of yourself, but also the emotional side of getting over the discomfort and body issues. If you just want to take better (fully clothed) photos of yourself for your business website or Instagram account THIS WILL BE YOUR HOLY GRAIL, but if you have a hot vacation coming up it’ll also help you capture incredible shots in your bikini (🔥). Get a copy here (currently on sale!).
📺 WATCH: I was not at all sure what to expect from a movie called “Hit Man”, but surprisingly this new Netflix release was more of a Rom Com than a violent action flick. I thought it was a really fun premise and was pretty cute. Watch the trailer here.
🎧 LISTEN: Do you also have a love/hate relationship with jeans? Is this something that just happens as we age?! It was great to discover this podcast and realize that I am definitely not alone!
and teamed up to deliver an entire episode on the topic of jeans. “Why do jeans make us FEEL THINGS? I mean, I have a lot of feelings about the “going out top,” but at least I no longer have to deal with it. Jeans, they’re still here in my wardrobe, making me feel uncool. It’s the actual garment, sure, but it’s also a garment in constant fashion flux — and almost always designed to fit one sort of (thin) body. Whether you’re clinging to your comfort jeans or trying to figure out what shoes to wear with a barrel leg or banishing jeans from your closet, this episode is for you.” Listen here (or wherever you listen to podcasts).🧡 ENJOY: I discovered this app in the aforementioned eBook (Hot Pics 4 Hot Girls) and it was far from the only amazing tip I got from it but had to share. I have been having too much fun with the creative options Tezza offers and LOVE the very aesthetic design of the entire thing. 100% worth the purchase. Download the Tezza App here.
