Feels like we could use a moment of wanderlust (escapism?) right now — whether we are planning a summer holiday or simply daydreaming of one. I’m currently amid the *daydreamers*, so having the chance to reflect on some of my favorite vacations really scratched the itch! Thanks for indulging me.

It’s no secret that I love and appreciate a good adventure — and while I used to be really good at sharing trip itineraries on my blog back in the day, I haven’t done that for yearrssss and I’ve basically become a professional at ignoring your (thoughtful) messages asking for trip details — sorry!

But I hope this post will satiate you as I round up five of my favorite vacations I have EVER taken and share as many helpful details as I can. You are also welcome to use the comment section to ask questions and get some help planning your dream trip.

If you’re looking for all-inclusive resorts and tourist hot-spots…this probably isn’t for you. Most of these will be a little quirky and might even involve some physical exertion, but I promise…they are each worth it. First up is this incredible location, located just 270 miles (440 km) off the coast of the United States. You can island hop via kayak to a chain of uninhabited islands, camp on the white sand beaches and not see another human for days at a time.
